We are back from our amazing trip to Antigua. This was to celebrate our 6th & 7th wedding anniversaries, returning to the place where we were married. I guess you know you've been together for a long time when someone asks how long and you have to think about it (13 years!).
It was so great to get out of the cold and into the sun. I'm finding it difficult now to move about in the snow and slush as I try not to slip with my walker, so now I only feel comfortable going out if there hasn't been a snowstorm. Needless to say, I had no worries in Antigua! It was definitely not as hot & humid as September which Travis loved. Travis carried me in & out of the ocean every day. It was such a joy to float in the ocean as I feel like I have a normal physical body as I am being supported by the saltwater. We had so much fun with the staff and the food was amazing, Travis was very happy to have a break from cooking. We had a great visit with Don who came for a night and a day, and was able to visit the resort with a guest pass, so special to spend time with him. Check out the gallery page for photos of this beautiful resort & island. Thanks to everyone who supported us to make this dream a reality and special thanks to Jeannie for taking such good care of our fur babies! Now, I am looking forward to catching up with friends, continuing to advocate to find treatment and a cure for ALS, and a visit with my cousin Chelsea. |
