Congratulations to our very own Travis Skinner, who Brookstreet's Executive Chef Clifford Lyness just appointed as his Executive Sous Chef. Travis has been working at Brookstreet Hotel since 2007, first in the position of Commis and then Sous Chef. Travis’ passion for cooking has developed throughout the years through experience and diversity. Born in Durban, South Africa, he immigrated to New Zealand, and lived and travelled in the Caribbean and Australia in the years to follow. His Canadian wife, which he met in the Caribbean, brought him to Ottawa in 2007 where Travis began attending Le Cordon Bleu. Travis' travels have added a worldly flare to his cooking. His wife's favourite dish is Mahi-Mahi with a Caribbean spice.
