The Killers had a Killer light show!

Loved the last song "All These Things That I've Done" especially the line "don't you put me on the backburner", as instead of being sidelined with the other wheelchairs, I decided to be in the mix of the crowd with my friends and it was GREAT! (even though Travis and Brittany had to protect me form people trying to push past us!)
Travis and I are settled back home enjoying summer in Ottawa.  We had a great time at Bluesfest and watched both Cypress Hill and The Killers in concert.  Such fun shows!  This weekend we are planning on going out to dinner, watch the World Cup Final and going to Le Nordik Spa together.  On Monday we are attending an equipment program evaluation for ALS Canada to submit feedback on our experiences.  We are still waiting for a power wheelchair but in the meantime are considering buying our own as the one shown below is a portable power chair which would fit into our car (without having to buy a van) and fit through our doorways at home.  Of course this one is not covered financially but seems to be reasonably priced and very convenient.  Another ALS client has purchased this and will let me try it out.  My worker said that it does not have the "tilt" function but that is not something I need at this point, and maybe they will have invented one by the time I need it!  Although expensive, technology has really helped us to adapt so far.  Travis has bought us a "nest" thermostat that allows us to change our temperature from our iPhones, and last Christmas he bought us Philips Hue lights that also allow us to turn our lights on and off (and change colours!) from our iPhones.

Wow, thats one mean little machine. So portable and yet so capable. I also like that its compact size gives great manoeuvrability indoors.
Glad that you had a good time at the concerts, music is such a gift.

We had so much fun with you guys at the concert! I think we should take our rapping on the road ;) Maybe we could be featured in a Vegas show? Looking forward to hearing more about how the equipment evaluation went as well as your time at Le Nordik. xo
